To buy or not ?

I want this game, but i mainly play on vacation without internet !

Do you only have to activate online or really be online to play ?

if that's the case it's useless to buy this thing.. than i have to wait for a crack or something .

Always online. If you cannot connect, you cannot play. Also small tiles makes the Small Cities 5 rename to be more appropriate.

 

I would consider going customer power on this and hit them in the money bag; i.e. not buy the game.

Even though I'm curious to see the game for myself, I'm not going to buy it for a few months, until there's a price reduction. I made this decision months ago when I first read about the always online feature, which is an absolute deal breaker for me.

Not to buy especially if you play without internet connection. The always online means that the game runs on their servers. If you can't connect you can't play. Your game is also saved on their servers so if you can't connect to the specific server then you can't resume a game. A terrible move to do this and unacceptable.

It isn't just the servers that are terrible.  The only thing this game has going for it is it is pretty.  Everything else is pretty much $%&^!.

 

It is mechanically and technologically inferior to SC4 in every other quantifiable way.

well the always online thing is the main dealbreaker.. don't even care how good or bad the game is. i don't want to rely on my internet connection and their servers.
