People tried but they said they don't offer refunds. If you reverse your bank transaction they will ban you from EA Origin.

    Ya, rather not go to that extreme, even though I have nothing on my origin account to lose, haven't liked EA since they started on line passes and the way they handled the past few days hasn't improved my image of them a bit.

    There's something deliciously ironic about asking a refund for Simcity because of everything that's going on and buying Starcraft 2 instead. It's a great game though, I recommend it.

     I purchased from Origin pre-release, and I couldn't download, so I went to amazon to download and bought it there, I somehow got a 50% discount when I bought the game and only spent $30.  I was playing that night, and the next night, but last night servers went down.  Tuesday I was on chat support for about 3-4 hours while at work, but eventually got a response and he was very courteous and respectful and refunded me no problem.

    Don't be a douche, and remember the other PERSON on the other end is in control, not you.  So be just as courteous and respectful to them (and trust me they will appreciate it, you have no idea how bad their week has been and at low pay - remember that).  If you have to make something up to get the refund.

    TLDR;

    BE RESPECTFUL!

    Whilst its obvious to be polite even if some one is not but asks for a refund they cannot say no because they were rude lol

    Trust me they can do whatever they want, most people have no clue how to sue in small claims court.

    If I was in this situation, where I had a lot of Origin games, which I do, and in order to get a refund I had to do a charge-back on my credit card only to be banned and lose all the games I had previously purchased, I would sue for full amount $7500 in small claims and they wont even show up and then I can put a liens on EA, and they will be forced to either give me $7500 worth of stock or a check for $7500.  :)  They will likely appeal, and not show up to that either.

    More often than not they will call you the day before court appearance and try and settle with you, then you are truly in control.

    I'm not sure $60 is worth small claims either really. I personally would go to Ofcom in UK which deals with these issues. Ofcom then decides, what happens if the company refuses they face fines.

    Case in point, you just proved what I just said, people don't know HOW to sue in small claims court.  You sue for damages, you sue for emotional distress, you sue for time spent in having to go through the entire small claims process, use your hourly job rate if you like.  The judge hears both sides and awards the amount he seems fit.  However if one side does not show up, which a huge company like EA will not show up at everyone's local small claims court then the judge awards the amount you sued for and you win it no questions asked.
