Yea I'm furious, I preordered this game and now after downloading I was supposed to be able to play it, but when i'm about to make a city i just get the message: "Kunne ikke opprette byen din nå . Vennligst ta over byen igjen" which means something like "could not create your city at the moment, please take over your city again later." in Norwegian.

 

What does that mean!? I regret I bought this game to begin with, but my question is: does anyone else have this problem?

Had to give you a plus-1 on the being drunk part (hey, some of my best creations were under the influence of gin). This is precisely why I shall never pre-order any game. I have no intentions of purchasing this until at least 1-3 months after release.

Thanks for giving me a laught. I'm also very drunk pi****d right now. This is my first Online Only game, it shouldn't be one in the first place but i started Windows, installed Origin and installed SC. It took me 45 minutes (i usually don't run Windows except for games i don't play). All i got were: Server not available, no authentification, couldn't reclaim a city, ... , and while i waited i remembered the old and glorified C=64 times. You may had to wait 10 minutes to load a game but you could actually play the game, bugfree and with your friends in the same room. We were laughing at each other we were cheering at each other and we generally had a good time together. Now we all got connected with wifi, dsl and facebook and the more i think about it the less appyling it sounds to me.

I did the same thing and I simply just got a refund. EVERYONE SHOULD REFUND THE GAME UNTIL EA GETS IT TOGETHER. You can always go back and reactivate it. That's what I did.

I spend €39,- for my hard copy.. but right now its a €39,- down the drain. Cant even play because of all the server errors.. Why didn't EA put more power in this..? (they act surprised many people went online and try to play it)

In France I paid 51€ for the regular version.

They were also proposing the "euro-set" in an extra box for another 10€.

In another shop, they were selling the regular game for 59.99€ !!!

I don't see how they can justify $99 AU when the dollar is so high (at the moment it is sitting ABOVE US$), and the US copy is something like $50.
