Cannot Create Game

I was able to install and load and start the game just fine.  However, when it is time for me to Create a Game, I can select a region, but it will not let me claim a City.   A message comes up that says: "Unable to create your city at this time. Please claim a city again." And I've tried many times and can't get by this part. Ugh...

I guess 20 was the magic number because it finally created a city.

 Same for me. WOn't let me create any city, won't let me play the tutorial. 

At least when I saw "Error 37" I knew what it was......

 

Haven't gotten into a game yet. Nothing but "Please try again later" messages.

It occurs when the servers go down.

Golly-gee-wilikers, this server thing is a mess. DRM just does not belong in a city-building game like Sim City, look at how many problems it's caused, and we aren't even through day one yet! Normally I would say, I can't stress this enough, but I think that statement would be redundant in this case.

App crashed after losing connection to servers, now all I can do is the welcome guide scenario which doesn't even work... awesome!

Having the same problems as you all!! Time for me to give it up tonight. I hope the servers don't keep crashing for too many days. Not going to sweat it!! I will get to play eventually... I hope

Have been experiencing this issue for over an hour now. Really frustrating!!!! Any resolution or tips for claiming a region or getting on a server that works?

Wow, what a Piece of s*%$#.  I can't even start a stupid game?  I am contesting the charges on my CC for a product that was not delivered.

Let me make a comment here...I work for a software company and if we released code like this, we would go out of business.  This is a joke!

Heh yeah same here. Tried creating a new region, same problem. Was really looking foward to playing it.

 

EDIT: Found a possible solution - switch the server you're connected to. To switch your server, prior to pressing play in the launch menu, at the bottom left should be the server selection area. Simply click on that and switch to a server with rating Busy or less.
