I'm yet another Sim City fan who isn't extremely literate when it comes to the technical specs of computer hardware. I'm wondering if I would be able to play Sim City 5 on this Windows 8 computer:

Processor Speed: 2.70 GHz

System Ram: 4 GB

Hard Drive Size: 750 GB

Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7520G with 2029MB

Multi Media Drive: SuperMulti DVD Burner Card Reader Type: 2-in-1 Digital Media Card Reader

Network Connection: 10/100 Fast Ethernet & 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Connector Type: 1 x DC-in, 1 x Ethernet, 1 x HDMI, 1 x Headphone, 1 x Microphone, 1 x USB 2.0, 2 x USB 3.0, 1 x VGA

I should be able to run it fine but the beta I was lagging kind of alot. I don't know if it was my computer or my internet.

It's probably the HD 4200, the game won't lag because of your internet connection. If you play with lower graphic settings it should work.

Will the following system run SimCity with no lag?

AMD Phenom 9950 Quad-Core Processor
4GB (4x 1024MB DDR2)
2x ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB (Crossfire enabled)
WD3000HLFS-75G6U0
32-bit Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
Creative SB X-Fi

I'm trying to help a coworkers son.  I was reading SC4 had a problem with the HD4850 series. Do you know if that's still an issue?

If 4850 is an issue so can you toss some NewEgg or other online retailer links of some budget cards that will run the game with the graphics on high?

Thanks in advance,

Based on your hardware it will run, but I don't know anything related to problems with the HD 4850. Some problems with graphic cards could be solved with updated drivers. So make sure you have the newest drivers for your graphics card installed. (And before you buy a new card, test your current setup.)
