Just watched the launch (streamed by CBC). Most interesting. New concept is Mobile Computing. Seamless integration between all aspects. Relatively inexpensive depending on supplier, but announced at around $150 U.S.

    Did anyone else watch this?

    Comments?

Didn't watch this particular news event for the blackberry 10. But I've seen a couple of videos on it.. and honestly I wasn't really impressed, compared to the iphone 5 or the GS3 it seems they are playing catch up. That and the "mobile computing" is a old concept, I don't really see how their approach is different.

Last but not least, I've only ever owned 1 blackberry product (Storm 2) and it was lacking in many areas, I owned it for a year... but in the end I was disappointed in the performance.

    my $0.02

The announcement stated that over 70,000 apps are available with the launch. The most important feature is the seamless switching between the work and personal environments with full BB security. They also demoed a very nice camera for both still and video. I don't use any mobile device, and I would be interested in playing with this one. I think they have done their homework.

Oh, and RIM is no more. Corporate name changed to Blackberry, today.

I myself found the most interesting part to be the corporate name switch from RIM to BlackBerry. I may consider a BB when my current contract is up, however my phone failed under my current contract and thanks to purchasing the insurance policy got a free replacement. So with less than a year to go on my contract but having a new phone (GSII), it won't be for a while. But the BB10 will be under consideration.
