I built this avenue bridge over diagonal rail using puzzle pieces

as you can see, apart from a few pedestrians, no traffic was using it. I thought I must have done something wrong, so I rebuilt it a couple of times to no avail.

So next I tried demolishing it and made the bridge with Maxis highway.

Now the traffic is flowing across it.

What's the deal with that ?

Has anybody else had this problem, and knows what is causing it ?

Have you checked if you installed the right driving side of the NAM?

Yep, always used the LH version. Everything else works fine. I tried building avenue over straight rail and that was ok, just over diagonal that has problem.

I suggest you check the pathing with the 'drawpaths' command in the extra cheats dll. I've never used that particular configuration, and there might just be an error here.

I had this problem the other day.

The 1x1 avenue filler piece actually appears to only use a RH model, which means when you plop it so the bridge looks right with the footpath and barriers on the outside, the paths are all backwards - drawpaths will show this - and only pedestrians can use the bridge. The fix is obviously to replop them the right way around. Doesn't look as good, but it'll work at least.

Not sure if its something the NAM guys have picked up on before...

    Thanks Joe.

I had a feeling it might be something to do with the filler pieces. When I built it over a straight rail line, I didn't need to use those pieces and it worked fine.

Would be good if any of the NAM guys could confirm that.

In the mean time, I'm gonna stick with the MHW as that is working for me.

We weren't aware of this issue. We'll diagnose the problem and we'll see about getting it fixed for NAM31.

    Thanks for all the replies.

    A quick update.

I can't believe I didn't think of this at the time

I simply replaced the avenue puzzle pieces with one way road puzzle pieces and it worked like a charm.
