City Ordinances reset themselves every "year"

When I first got the NAM I was excited to not need to worry about crime, health, education, etc if I didn't want to and I've since built some really nice looking cities. I've realized however that certain city ordinance changes will not stick. With each "year" I've found that the following will always turn themselves back on: Alternative Medicine Program, Smoke Detector Program, MT Strategy Mass Transit Only, Crime Doesn't Pay, Portable Waste to Nothing Accelerator, and Genius Acceleraton Project. Has anyone else run into this problem? I'm tired of the sims crowding my train connection with 6k commuters leaving the highway connection with only 60 cars. (the other ordinances not mentioned seem to stay at whatever I put them on)

hmm..i'd like to give my opinion here, but....i'll just let someone from the NAM team address this for more comprehensive answer.

I don't recognize some of those ordinances, so you must have an additional ordinance mod. I haven't had a moments problem with the default set. It is unlikely that any of this is NAM related because the NAM concerns only the traffic network.

It seems that it's Radical Ordinance V2.0 that I have. I'll try disabling it for a little while and see how it goes.

Within the Rad Ord Mod there's a toggle file that automatically turns ordinances on when needed. Did you keep that file? I believe it can be removed to eliminate the effect. I haven't used the mod in a long while, so I'm not real sure if this is related to your issue. Just a thought...

I don't recommend any mods that twist the game. I may cheat, and I may build funny lots, but I don't try to change the logic of the simulator.

I couldn't find that additional file. I just removed one file that was obvious and it seems to be working like it did before the mod.

After removing the mod, I've realized that I like the game better. Once you turned off the demand increasers most of the buildings became vacant due to lack of demand anyway. It was either they had to be on all the time or off.

True. Once you start monkeying with the demand parameters, you completely change to some other game.
