Addons/Plugins - Which essentials?

Hi All,

I'm going away with work for 3 weeks, and will have no/limited internet access.

Prior to me leaving (on Sunday), I would like to download a bunch of add-ons, plugs, BAT, NAM stuff... Something to play with and hopefully learn as I am away.

Can you point me in the right direction towards tutorials/help files and the best place to get these resources?

Wow, threads like this one seem to come up weekly these days... in fact, you are asking a very frequent question, and you will find similar threads with relevant answers in this very forum section. In order to avoid repeating myself, here are links to two threads about recommendable downloads:

As you can see, it's pretty much the same every time.

You will find more general advice on downloading and installing in pinned threads right here as well as on the Omnibus, which contains most tutorials. More complicated mods generally come with instructions, too.
