Deleting Snow mod

Ok first off i do like this mod but i only want the snow capped mountains part and not the textures one.. is this possible? i downloaded the combined but wheni deleted the whole thing it stops me from making mountains (ie crashes game) Any help??

Sometimes you have to be patient before someone who actually can help you comes by. Bumping your thread is not nice! Only little ones are unpatient.

 

About your problem with the snow capped mountains you want, there is two mods, one with snow all over and another one with the snowcaps only, so take only the one that you want, and not both of them, since that will make one mod work against the other and cause problems within your game.

sorry about 'bumping' or watever u called it

anyway what the problem is is 'removing' the first one when i get rid of it the game crashes after trying to make a mountain! its like its missing textures for a mountain is it possible jsut to put them in the recycling bin??

I am not a specialist in this and I have no idea what a recycling bin is, but this is what I recommend.

 

-Get rid (delete) every snow mod that you downloaded from anywhere .

- download the ONE ONLY that you want again

- and put it into the programfiles/maxis/simcity4/plugin folder.

 

It should be working now.

 

Remember you cannot have two of the same mods working together,this will always cause trouble. That goes for the water, snow ,mountain texture and tree mods.

you will need to make sure ALL of your snow mods are cancelled - i had the same thing happen to me, only to find i still had my snow_capped_lower file still in my plugins, as well as the regular arctic snow texture.

Ok, so I hope my question can get answered here.  I know this seems to be an old topic....I also downloaded these snow textures recently, only to find out that they aren't as fabulous to work with as previously thought.  I was wondering, if i'm looking in my this-C:\\ maxis\simcity4\plugins......and I only see the downloads from the official sim city 4 site, and 4 background pics that I downloaded..and nothing else....where else can I look to delete these files.  I have also downloaded a TON of stuff from this site, and can't find where all that stuff is hiding...I'm sure when I find those items/that folder, i'll be able to delete this snow mod, but again...I can't find it... help!!

look in your My Documents folder. find the SimCity 4 Folder, and there should be a Plugins folder in there. the snow-capped mod should be in there. if not, you've already deleted it
