That's a stumper you have there. Does it only happen with the STEX buildings or with all of them? Does it happen with certain buildings regularly? Bear in mind that there are some things on the STEX that don't work with Mac very well.

I have a similar problem in that sometimes my buildings get decapitated and I have to zoom in and back out again to fix them. Nothing I can do about it.

I'd say that there's a good chance that it's a glitch in the game itself. But that's just a guess. Try experimenting more to see if there's any kind of pattern and report back to us.

Have you tried removing all the mods and extras you have put into the game?

If it works clean, then try the mods and extras one at a time to see where the problem starts. Also what kind of system are you running (computer memory, video memory, etc)

Sometimes two different pieces of software can clash because they are not made to work with each other. Such things exist in other games I have played, so it does not seem impossible here.

One thing you should have learned by now reading this website is that This game will drag on ANY system.

The question still remains, what happens when you remove ALL your mods? On the other hand, how did the game run before you installed any mods?

    Not that I know of.

I see you have a Mac, is it a newer one?

But the graphic's smear is a video card effect,  [edit: deleted].  I don't know much about a Mac, but there are others on this site that do, and maybe they can help you.

Have you updated the game? I think it's latest version is 1.0.2.

If so, then I would guess that you have to go through your mods a one by one and see which one or which combination of mods causes your screen to mess up.

In order to design your own stuff, it's not easy. I'm working on finding more information about this, but right now, what I know is sketchy.

As far as I know: You need software from the official SimCity site. And to get that software, you need a Windows CD key. Aspyr's CD key will not be recognized. I have heard that it is possible to contact EA and get a Windows CD key, but I'm not 100% sure of that. I will try to find out more.
