Simcity 4 won't load!

Hey ive been having problems loading my game.it will load up too the point where it say's *SIMCITY4 DELUXE EDITION*.Then it crashes to desktop,is there any possible reasons why it can be doing this?. if there is can you please help,can modds,NAM,add-ons,or even BATS, keep it form loading properly. thank-you for the help!

Yes it sounds like you have something conflicting - remove everything from your C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins and try opening the game.

If you still have the problem with an empty plugins folder - report back here.

If the problem goes away after emptying your plugins folder, please read the readme for each file before you add it too your plugin folder. If you fail to read and follow the instructions, your game will crash.

In some cases, imporoperly removing Plugins may lead to this issue. Some common causes:

Custom seaports/airports.

Terrain mods.

If i did turn hardware3D ,acceleration or accelerated sound off .how would i cut it back on?

I haven't any idea how one would do that on your machine. My machine is not anything like yours in all likelihood. If you didn't do it, then don't worry about it. If you did do it, it is up to you to undo it.

the problem still exist after deleting everything form plugins!

Have you done anything to the in-game settings? You may have set yourself up to not run the next time you called the program. If that is the case, you can force it back to default by deleting the C:\<your id>\Documents\SimCity 4\SimCity 4.cfg file.

With no Plugins, and without this file, the game should just come up on default settings. If not, you'll have to reinstall it.

BTW, to delete your plugins from the game, all you had to do was change the name of the Plugins folder to something else like Plugins.old.

It came up as default setting's,but after i hit load reigion,it quits on me again.i deleted the C:\<your id>\Documents\SimCity 4\SimCity 4.cfg file ,like you said.

You obviously have a sick region. Which one did you try to load? If it was a standard one, just recopy it from the game installation files. You will lose whatever is causing a problem as this will reset the region.
