Hi guys. Recently I placed this building in my city, mainly because of its looks but it also acts as a museum. But its full, there are not enough tickets. My advisor keeps bugging me about it, but I can't raise the budget any more. Placing extra musea doesn't help either, sims are not using them.

Is this building broken?

Well, you could use your network to try and limit access to it. If worst comes to the worst, put toll gates all around it.

Try placing some other museums in your city.

Try placing some other museums in your city.

That's the problem, it doesn't work! That whole park is filled with museums that are not being used. I have another big museum in my downtown that's not half way full.

Is the shanghai center too popular among my sims? Do they forget about the other museums?

    I've tried everything.

It is times like this that one can appreciate the bulldozer and what it can accomplish. Sorry, but that is my solution, but then again my sims tremble when they see me fire up the bulldozer and head out.

It is a beautiful building though and I can see why you would want to use it. Have you contacted the person who made it?

    Haven't contacted the creator yet.

Does this 'full' museum harm my city if I leave it?

I can't say whether it harms your city or not but I have always played under the assumption that anything that is not working to its potential is a detriment to my city growth, mayor rating and sim happiness.

Someone else may give a more definitive answer but this has always been how I play.

Yes. Any full education/health units will bring down the area's status of those, and the entire city's average.

Change the building's capacity with an editor (SC4Tool for exemple). Then, destroy the museum and replace it.

    Your problem should be resolved.
