I think it's going to be a complete failure, especially when it comes to gaming.

We'll get used to it. It looks VERY different. Like a PC version of the Xbox dashboard, which a LOT of people are already used to. So yeah, just need to take the time to get used to the new layout of Windows.

And when you read all the terrible comments from people about it, I'm sure 90% of them are just complaining because they don't like change.

I'm the 'A' to the 'r', to the c-h-e-a-n,
and even though my name means 'old' I'm really quite pimp,
I'm Archilicious.

Windows 8 = YUCK! I HATE IT! its too idiot proof for me to use from what i saw,

imo win8 is a warning for me to stick with windows 2000 and 7 til the end of time :P

it requires a tablet monitor (or at least encurages there use)witch

A: are not verry manny out there

B: Costly

C: Tablet gameing is just plain horrible

also not to mention (rumor) that is not compatible with X86 programes thus sc4 will not run on this crap OS

And when you read all the terrible comments from people about it, I'm sure 90% of them are just complaining because they don't like change.

and yes that is another but a minor reason imo for i think the Windows phone like interface is ugly

The funny thing is, I can run SimCity 4 just as well, if not better on the Windows 8 Release Preview than on Windows 7 :) I suggest you do some more research to be sure you are not talking about Windows RT which is more restricted as far as programs, but is specialized for only a few devices.

If you guys have any questions you'd like to ask to some that has been running Windows 8 for several months, feel free to ask!

It is certainly quite different than Windows 7. I tried it out and it wasn't that bad.

I prefer to stick with Windows 7.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

From what I've heard from friends who've tried it and done extensive research into it, they say it looks rather promising. But like all operating systems, each like-minded PC user needs to give it time to mature after release. I'm giving it 6 months, minimum.
