Steam question

I have long lost my old CDs so I was planning on buying SC4 on Steam. Can you still use mods with it? Will NAM install itself in the right spot?

Also, I'm sure this is asked all the time but I don't see it pinned. Are there any large packs of growable buildings that can be downloaded at once?

Yep, SC4 Rush Hour/Deluxe bought on Steam is compatible with mods, and comes fully updated. I'm not sure about the file location, but I assume mods will install in the correct place; and if not, you can always install mods manually.

There are packs of growable buildings, like this, this, this, or this. These are packs of growable CAMeLots. There are also other packs released by individual creators, like one by Bixel; however, content creators generally release their content individually, not in large packs.

What's the deal with CAMeLOTs? I get that they have more stages, buy why bother? Are the lots now more realistic than Maxis or less? I'd prefer not to have Arcologies grow where a nice Sears Tower should be.
