That terrain looks beatiful in your city, so real life like. You know the funny thing is I never even thought about downloading the mod or even tryed it once. I do have any interest what so ever just because I cannot have the sand texture at sealevel.. Or can you?? hmm.. Great update man!

EDIT: Very nice update on Branton! I like how you made something so simple and small, beautiful. Lovely canal work and layout. I'm looking forward to the next update, and I was wondering- how do you get rid of the grimy black sand beaches? I love the dirt that you have on the coast.

    Update Green Metro-Coal Springs

    GM stands for Green Metro.

Here we go. Our town of Green Metro has been slicing. A new area has been released, called Coal Springs. Coal Springs has a dense feel. Like Ind. and Med. Residential mixed together. Some estates of Coal Springs has been sold up north of Green Metro.
    Heres the local Coal Springs.
    arialview.jpg
Lets go closer shall we, y'all see a nieghborhood--right in the heart of Coal Springs. Some traffic, not much $$$. But enough to keep these city type sims happy.
    CoalSpringsnieghborhood.jpg
The seaport village is one of the main tourist attraction to GM, located in South Coal Springs. Some shops, and boat rentals can be found here. Don't forget New Orleans shrimp shops! icon_lol.gif

Tutorial on making raised housing areas.

#1: The first thing you ever do is make a small hill, not to high, just about here.
    makehill.jpg
#2: now, take the roads, make little peices like this. So start from a level, and flaten it out from the outsides by connecting them together.
    useroads.jpg
#3: Once your done, and its a perfect square of raised land. Add walls, some walls I suggest are these:
    https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?mode=files&filetype=BAT&Str=residential%20and%20rural%20%20diagonal%20walls%20set%20v1
Once you have them, place them around the primeter of the square-like on the sides. Make sure you plop them in the right place (you may have to turn them)

Once thats done, make sure you leave one block open for the gate then drag a road thorugh it. When thats done, cover the gates slope with the walls to.
    layroadswalls.jpg
#4: Add some more detail, and residential, and ur all set.
    step4addhouses.jpg

Well, thats all for now. Hope for comments and I got more on the way! icon_biggrin.gif

    Hey, and Thanks!
I have one sad thing for y'all, when I was playing SC4, my city crashed, and It was all blank terrain. So I'd picked a new region, and its still the same Branton, but a different kind. Anywho just pretend this never happened Wink

    pic. 1.0
So, there are some houses for sale in Branton, 3000sims, and if you are interested in playing a role as a news reporter, just pm me and let me know, k. If you pm me on weekdays, i'll answer around
4pm, Central America. (I got school). Rolling
Anyway, here are the up-for-sale housing.

    houses.jpg

    pic. 1.1
In south of the city, holds worlds deepest canal with 400 feet below. I dunno why they added a paddleboat dock, cause if someone falls off....
The mayor requested it through the south, running behind his house. Somewhat, when he signed it 40ft. The builders read a typo and made it 400ft. (by accident) Enough speech, heres the picture, anywho a picture is 1000 words, right?

    canal.jpg

Branton is a big industrial city, so we got some industrial running up in the north. **cough cough cough* put on those masks. Like I said, its BIG with industrial factorys. Wink

    Industry.jpg

There are some facotries in the south of Branton, although not as much, and a bit wealthier. A port is connected, so their frieght trips wont be so long, and some ppl say its a tourist site.

    port.jpg

you folks want to hang by the beach all afternoon? Theres this spot in branton which is a great tourist and family beach. There are low wealth houses here, but some predict someday, it would be beautiful condos and hotels.

    Palmsbyshore.jpg

*sighs* last but not the least, dadadadadum, dadadadadadum, the WHOLE city of B-R-A-N-T-O-N. Ok, maybe its not that exciting, well here it is Laughing

    city4.jpg

Thanks. Up next is Branton reaches 10,000sims and Green Metro goes metro
Comments and suggestions will be accepted.
    Hope to c u

Zooming. Loading. 1 2 3 data. recoarse 2066 spiecal....loading mars data. Finish. Branton zoom complete.
    Data broken: code: 9621
    -----------------------------------------------------

Data broken, darn, guess i'll tell this by story.
In the 20th Century, some Canadian explorers sent out on a jet to look for the golden leaf. Suddenly there plane crashed into the bottom of the earth. Suddenly the earth was spinning and 2,000ppl survied on this reck of a 8. landing. All they could see was trees and rocks and small animals lurking, they new they were not on earth, since the sky was redish orange. This was 1986 and noone new what happened to them back on earth.

They produced off spring, a lot. one woman had 8 babies in 24 months. They used year calendars to record how the years went by by earth years. in 2012 the town grew. With some help by surviving scientists, they built cars and paved roads outta clobberstone. Some small Industrial Factorys came up as the future jobs the really smart ppl became teachers and tot younger off spring by the survivers, the towns pop. was 3,000 by 2016.

2030 the town was at 8,000 and still growing. It felt as modern as home. Lots of ppl from the 2020s-2030s became scientists due to this unknown world. In 2048 a big comment came and wiped out 1/5 of the town. Its loss of citizens highered offspring of parents wanting this civilization to go. By 2039 they built an rocket
going into space, they found out that this world was in another galaxy. Noone new what the galaxy was, but from there ancisters, they saw the milky way. They'd have to build a super fast rocket to get back to Earth, and this was another planet with life.

Its 2066 with 15,000ppl and a heathly growth. The highest IQ record there was 198, by Jipiny Zalaracky, also the smartest woman. She invented the Radio Probobe, sending signals to earth that they found another planet with life, it was an unblieveable conversation that the whole earth got involved. In 2043 Earthling Henry Knucklebelt and James Dannato found the planet sending the signals, later in 2054 Ppl from earth found an spacebelt highway traveling at speeds unknown between the planets, makeing population spead. Now they named the planet Genson in 2046. Its know known as a Planet Tourist Trap with tourist flocking the beaches from earth.

Heres a closer look in the city center.

    BS..GG1.jpg

Lets go down to the Bloom Complex, a apartment place with the areas low wealth. Still a nice place though.

    bloomingcomplex2.jpg

Blue Springs has apartments too, more of a Mini Mini New York But due to not much traffic its a great place to get that skirt you always wanted.

I have to make 3 double posts for my CJ and no comments comon!! I do all this work for you. I might aswell continue. Its not about the comments, its how you do it, think it, and say it.

Anyway, a new area has been added to Branton, thats Lush Beach. Lush Beach is outta town area with some good commerce popin up. Forest and forests and squeezed in commerce. Great for picnicing. Due to the crime and noise of the center, we put some estates out here with some open roads. Real nice. Anyway heres the picture of it, Smile

    lushbeach.jpg

That doesn't give much, lets go closer. There we go, some nice farming, medium commerce, forests, and open roads. To bad I can't get the buildings lights on, I was to lazy to wait until the next night Razz

    lushbeach1.jpg

Another picture of the area at sunrise

    lushbeach2.jpg

Lush Beach as some ports, here you can take a boat and drive it around, have some crabs at the diner, or go fishing. Its up to you.

    lushbeachports.jpg

Thats that, wanna see the whole city of (still 15,000)? Razz Sorry I couldn't fit the whole city in this pucture, But next update I will combine them like the banner.

    branton-latest.jpg

    Carport

Carport has been constructed south of Branton and it is big...commerce and industry play a roll here. Ports, seafood, diners, snack shacks, and more. (Take route 23 to get here). Some residents have built there own houses near the ports. Great area for summertime fun!

Picture 1:::Front of port, diners and plazas and commerce.

    port15tp.jpg

Picture 2::behind port, Industry and palms at night.

    port28wd.jpg

Sorry for the small update, I'll post about 10 pictures the next.

4 double posting, do you guys bother 22.gif

Carport is a city near the coast, that makes it a wonderful place for tourists and business to develop in this high land value place.  1.gif  Thanx for the comment. Gots some more pictures

This update we will be talking about Carport, With pictures and a storytelling. Scenes are scarce so make urself comfortable. Now with this view of the whole city it self. Ain't it perdy. Wealth is major here to with some complex burbs.

    Wholecity1.jpg

Lets go to the ports! A foggy night at the commerce area. Fog is common here with the low clouds a riseing of the mist water.

    foggnite.jpg

The main commercial port of Carport is, Sewside Decks. It happens to be 7 years old. Tourist flock from other CJs here to get some snax and coffee down and the docks.

    Commerceport.jpg

A new boardwalk has be constructed! This happy development tutors tourists from all over to catch a breeze of the salty air. Recent pelecans can be pests, but Port Patrol has tamed them so you can feed them. (be careful with Big Mouth, he once ate someones arm)

    boardwalk.jpg

Thats all folks, comments will be welcomed inn to our tip sided tourist town..

    Replys and comments:

Cjah: Thank you a lot. I hope you enjoy the next few updates. It seems like you are my city journals biggest fan, thanx.

PhilsCafe: Hey! Yeah, Im good at creating small towns but when It comes to big cities, Im not very good. I am pretty good at making ports and stuff. Thats why I like my cities to have that industrail feel I hope to see you again!

mtbroket: thank you lol. I am good at making photoshop. I distroyed the bridges and made a secret underwater tunnel so I'd destroy the big highways and avenues and make it smaller towner

sloppet: lol thanx, but thats the smilie Im hearing, he doesn't look to happy 3.gif

Everyone: Ive crushed some of Branton, like to the east mainly, made a downtown after 15 years of waiting to get the sims smart 21.gif I also switched the style to a richer, european. The train network changed too. I also made the pictures to an avg. of 80k so more ppl can see them.

This is a nice night picture by the apartments. Sims are getting tired of shopping and walking all day they relax here.
    Location: East of Downtown.

    Hey Simworld.

There's always the possibility of learning new things in SC4. I myself learn a lot of new stuff nearly everytime I play SC4. Just take your time about the big cities...

Anyways, nice update. I like the view of East Downtown. Looks like a nice neighborhood.

Keep it up. And sorry that I didn't notice this CJ earlier, but I know it now and I'll definitely be back...

I know how to make a big citie, it just I don't have the skill to make them realistic.

    A jolly jolly update!
Its December in Branton, and all through the city, not a thing was sturring, not even a bike.

    Blizzard!

Hard to reach places in Green Bay, development sturs in some mid-rise buildings and more farmland
Workers sent to hospital due to weather. Many buildings still unfinished. Still going through the farmland on the other
    side of river.

    pic 1.0-blizzard hits Great Bay.

    blizzard!.jpg

So they went on and built something across the river in the harsh snow. Rail connections
are useful so why not build rail first?

    layrail.jpg

Then, with some chief help, they layed the the exact zones and streets.

    layzones.jpg

    Then 5 months later:

    fnshed.jpg

    Nature scenes

This is Wolf Lake. Some hot spots around and they cant get to much of it. Hey! That person in the boat! Get out of the
picture! This is a tourist spot, not a boat driving convention.

    lakefriendlywood.jpg

This my dear ladys, (and men) is the extreme waterfall outta state. Thisie here is watched by tourists, soon
enough they might put some tourist spots around here.

    senic2.jpg
whew, I hope you liked that! Now to get some shut eye.

    thanx for ur extrodinary comments!

    Crown an update.
    Bay Cross hits!

Bay cross is a small farming village west of Branton. With lots of trees and tourist sites. Some extrodinary shops. Beans and rice are to big products of this town that sell them from farms to commerce. Small nieghborhoods take place in this Chicago-Town. It has a very small downtown that buildings are up to 9 stories high! Picture #1: Bay cross

    baycross5lo.jpg

Downtown Bay Cross is a pretty modern medium dence downtown. Some new shops like the Ritzy Plaza and Bert Electronics have made a fortune here. Some news reporters think traffics mad going in and out of the city, but the business likes it. Gee the stores are getting crowded! Picture #2: Downtown East

    dtbycros1pw.jpg

Whats better than left over cheese? Steak! Thats what. A new Outback Steakhouse has been constucted in this lush village, and its a hit. Sims from all over flock to get a bite of fresh streak on a grill, outback style. (Located on 13 Chip Street, Bay Cross, Teays Valley. Take out orders will cost $5.00 more.  Service is not responsible for any spills.)

    outbacksteakhouse9rc.jpg

Ok ok, I said theres farms, so lettuce see the rich farm life. Richest houses in the Simworld, thats right, outa all the city journals you ever saw, this is the richest houses ever. I big dow of 12 million buck houses outta town near the farms. Smell the fresh air in the morning. Beans. Lettuce, and grain grow here. Big stock markets making $2000 a week.

    farms1eq.jpg

Busy busy busy is all you can subscribe of Bay Cross. Well the natural waterfall site of
Bay Cross can be relaxing. Nice beautiful wonderful yummy fish swallowing in the deep blue river
with....ok, just cut the details and heres the picture. Happy?

    waterfalls5oc.jpg

Who let the horses out? Who? Who Who Who? Big offspring eh?

    horses3mm.jpg

    THE FUTURE 101

Will this be like Branton 100years from now?
Note: this is my other city in another region. I thought I would show
to you what the region will be like way later.
