How will I get started in the BAT? And what do I do?

Here is a tutorial for beginners to BATting. It is a four-part tutorial.

What exactly are the problems you are having? Is there and error message? If so, what does it say?

This probably belongs in the Builders topics. However, installing the BAT is not obvious.

1. Make sure your game is up to build level 1,1,640 or 1,1,641
   
2. Download gmax from Turbosquid.
   
3. Install gmax and use the URL given to register and get a serial number (no spaces at either end) and copy it (CTRL+C) into the registration panel (CTRL+V)
   
4. Test gmax. If you don't know how, use their tutorial.
   
5. Install the BAT.
   
6. Run the BAT Essentials tutorial (at least two hunks, maybe four). Do not post your result on the STEX.
   

Now you should be able to make a new BAT, night lights and all. Test it. Document it, and if you think it is good enough, share it on the STEX.

This little learning curve should take about a month or so, running as time permits.
