Are the residents of the cities detailed? (Agents)

I've played City Life before and I found it annoying seeing NPC's that looked all the same walking on the street. I know in that game there were differences in looks by social class, but that dosen't come in to play in this game. So are there a wide range of characters in SC5? Thanks!

Well, in this pic, which shows a lot of pedestrians walking, there is a variety of different Sims/agents. I see children and adults with different colored clothes. There is repetition, as well, but Maxis can't create thousands of induvidual Sims, all based upon their wealth/job. However, Maxis has stated that some Sims will be defined by their jobs, and will most likely be dressed to fit that job: "Yours isn’t just any city! It comes complete with a cast of colorful characters. Police Sims catch bank robbers and ambulances drive sick Sims to the hospital. Homeless Sims hang out in the park and the bus driver Sim takes kids to school every day. Listen to the lobbyists and industry leaders as they present opportunities and ask for pledges from you as Mayor, but look out for the arsonist as he tries to start fires and spread chaos! Each character has a role and each is affected by the choices you make and how you play the game!"

That means we can probably assume that sims will be as varied as Tropico 3/4.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

    Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

Each job comes with a different skin in Tropico. Because it is in the Caribbean, there is some gender bias. As such some jobs are solely for men or solely for women though most important jobs are equal opportunity.
