I am getting a CTD here when loading a specific city. All my other tiles are fine. I removed my entire plug-in folder and attempted to load the city-still crashed.

Save the region, then delete the city. See if you can then reimport it from the save. It is possible that the city has been corrupted which sometimes happens in a complex city during a save.

Is there a specific command or process do this, to import a city? I loaded SC4, deleted the city form my region and Used the Load Region , but nothing. All I got for my effort as a 100% filled tile.

This is not obvious unless you have the manual. Load the city file from your saved version into the

C:<you>\Documents\SimCity 4 ...\Downloads folder. Then open the game, and use the import city operator. This is on the open city dialogue. It is the light gray icon with a disk image on it. The rule is that imported cities must be the same size as the tile being used.

Yes, the entry on the manual is pretty obscure on this point, it certainly does not mention it can be used to fix problems, in fact, the manual, besides telling you how to do this, doesnt really explain *why* you would want to. In any event, I did not work for me, sadly. May have to write off a 153k city. Now I need to know it its possible to recover that tile when and delete the city and retain the map? Deleting city of course, resets the entire tile. I hope I dont have to re-render the entire map(its a biggie) and repaste all my other cities in?

You should be able to use the other icon to delete the city. If not, use windows explorer and delete the file. The result should be a flat, green tile. Happy terraforming.

First do a reconcile edges, and go from there.

If you have a "clean" copy of the Region, you should be able to import that city into the "blank" tile.

That's true. Create a region using the same files but with a different name. Render it, then pick up the tile you want complete with terraforming.
