    hi

    i was wondering if there was a setting option available to change the way you can view your cities dat and time;

    On my previous sim ccity 4 game the date appeard month/day/year and the time was AM/PM

    On the new Sim City 4 the date appears day/month/year and the time is military time.

    I know it sounds weird to want to know, but hey the details matter. :D

    As far as I'm concerned there isn't, but there might be a mod for this, or a way to mod it yourself.

    I seriously doubt it. You'll have to learn how to subtract 12.

    I believe the date/time format is determined by what language version of the game you have, and I don't think it can be altered by modding the game. Your new game could be a different version than your old one. If you look in the C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe folder (on Xp), what language folders do you see. You may be able to switch to a different format. Check the instructions here.
