Applying water mod to all cities in an old region

I noticed that after installing a water mod, you need to open all cities in your region and save them one by one to get the effect of water mod in the region view. Is there an easy way to do this automatically?

Only by re-rendering the region but this also initializes the region to empty.

That's fine by me, but can it be done on the regions that came with the game (like Timbuktu)?

edit: OK, this was a dumb question :) without the grayscale jpg I'm guessing it's not possible.

If I'm not mistaken and I remember right, I think you can make a greyscale from this map with terraformer. I would just empty my plugins, keep only the terrain and watermod and go from citytile to another to change the water, more secure and easier. ;)

I can't be bothered. I just let each city pick up the texture as I open it. Of course, I don't use many of the default cities, and this nuisance is easily abated without resorting to "after market" software.
