Can't install regions.

I have tried to install regions with the ctrl+alt+shift+R combo for regular maps but it does nothing. once I select the file it just goes back to main menu (region screen) without doing a thing. I am running windows 7 64bit. I don't use terraformer or sc4mapper cause neither of them work. now I can even install regular maps. I guess my adventure in SimCity 4 is over.

Not likely. works fine for me, and I am not even on windows. What map did you try to render (URL please?). This only fails like that if there is something wrong with the config.bmp file.

Sc4terraformer should work once you tell it to run in XP compatability mode, did you try that?

Which reminds me. There are two formats. Only the regular regions without the .sc4M file can be rendered by the game. You must use either sc4terraformer or mapper to render .sc4m files.

Isn't it wonderful how something that is supposed to make things easier complicates matters beyond belief.
