Regarding Ctrl+X codes

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere here. I had a quick check and couldnt find any threads regarding this.

I've been building one of my better cities for me. But I've gotten to a point where my water/power demands are just nuts and I'm constantly falling in the red even when I'm filling demands.
Having adjusted my utilities and health and school facilities manually and generally to match needs I still was losing money. So I decided to give one of the codes a try. I wanted to lose my water demand and so I used the howdryiam code. But it didnt work at all. Same with the fightthepower code.

Do they just not work or did I mis-interpret their uses?

It does work but those cheats dont apperear on the graphs

if the cheat console closes, the cheat worked. If not you made a typo or the cheat doesn't exist.

Thats good to hear but when I do them the window closes after I push enter. But when I get rid o fmy water pumps to get some money back, I'm getting the complaints pretty much right away as if the need was still there.

Before I created my Current Empire of Regions I used cheats. Cheating with the power and water rwquirements for me often made more problems than it solved.

But...

The cheats work, but you cannot deleat the pumps and you must also enter the cheat every time.

 

There is a bunch of downloads on the SC4 website for super water pumps and towers.

 

If that still doesn't work there is the money cheat. weaknesspays

 

If you need alot of money hold the Ctrl C and press Ctrl V and enter. 

 

If you go to the SC4 website there is something called the Los Alamos bomb, it produces an enormous ammount of energy. Just know this it does what it says  it explodes

Hmmm well I'm trying to to not cheat but I just got frusterated because this is the best I've ever done and I'm losing the handle on it. So I can use the water cheat but I have to keep the pumps. Whats the point of the code then?

you can lower the funding on the pumps. with the cheats, all you need is one water pump. a whole large city can be fed with it, as long as the pipes are there
