Awkward CTD

OK so, I'm not new to SC4, i experienced a lot of crashes (tram problems, puzzle pieces, bad custom content, zoom crushes etc.) But this time I encountered a very awkward CTD. I load the city, I start the normal time speed, and after 4 or 5 minutes i hear a noise like a military jet plane and the game crushes to desktop. No error message appears. Can anyone have a slightest idea of what can cause this crush?

Have you been adding plugins from repositories other than those known to be monitored (STEX, LEX, PLEX)? Soounds like you've picked up a trojan lot.

My plugins are downloaded only from Simtropolis, SC4Devotion and SIMPEG. (if it's a trojan lot is there a way to identify it and get rid of it without uninstalling all the plugins?)

does it bug on all your cities or only this one ? Maybe a plugin have not been correctly installed or is not compatible with your settings...

Ok the second awcward thing is this. The same city, same noice yesterday, i moved the cursor and it CTD. reload city, same noise i did't tuch anything in 20 econds the noice ends and the game goes on, no crush. Today it CTD as I said earlier.

I think that a green roof midrise is the problem, because in another city when it started to grow the game CTD. So I'll try entering the game tonight and demolished the UC building that i tink it causes the problem, then if it solves it i'll post here the name of the building if someonelse has the same issues.

Problem solved. It seems it was actually a zoom in priblem. When my custom airport goes to a new stage and the zoom isn't maximum out it makes the game CTD.

I notice that you have the un-patched version of Deluxe (unless you've since updated). You might want to get the game patches (see the Nightlights and Updates in ). Some game things were ironed out in the patch. In addition, some downloads will function better with the updated game.

...When my custom airport goes to a new stage and the zoom isn't maximum out it makes the game CTD.

Also, depending on the custom airport you have, issues could arise. Airports are tricky things, and special care needs to be taken when using them.

I've downloaded the patches but didn/t installed them yet becasue i paly the game only in daytime. For some further updates on my Cj i'll install them.

The second patch (1.1.640.0) affects only the nightlights of custom buildings. However, the first (1.1.638.0) contains more general fixes that affect the game in several areas and is recommended having - especially for the NAM.
