Hi, the plugins are independent and grow regardless of the styles in the styles menu correct? Say if I only chose the New York Style. Would I be able to grow all New York buildings, and, in addition, the other buildings in the plugins folder? Thanks.

AFAIK Some Buildings Only Grow , For Example, In The Europe Set , So No , I Don't Think They're Independent

Thanks for the reply. So most of the buildings in the plugin folder will grow regardless of selected style. How do you tell if a building is dependent on the style? Can you make a new style and select it in game? Thanks.

    1. Buildings will grow accordingly, to their origin.(SFBT, British and Paris BATs belong to the Euro tileset, NYBT buildings grow in the American tilesets and HKABT buildings uses an edited Houston tileset)

    2. There are very few buildings that grow in ALL tilesets, usually those generated with conventional PIM, most of them will blend in with any tileset.

    3. You could use the PIM-X tool to check the buildings' tileset

    4. No, you cannot make a new style, but there are mods that change the tilesets to allow non-Maxis tilesets eg. Middle East, Hong Kong, etc.

    5. I suggest you download ENTIRE building sets(eg. all German-style BATs = germany, Frogface+y+x+desert terrain = Middle East, BATs containing CP vol01 = American Suburbia, etc), it also helps to reduce dependencies.
