I have a question about BAT as you could see in the title, enough of that.

If you download more BAT and mods does the chance of game crashes & glitching increases while playing the game?

Thx to anyone who tries to answer

I believe yes. For a few reasons:

    1. Occasionally you could misplace a NAM piece on something already existing, and after few seconds game would crash. This happened to me not only with NAM pieces but also with various other stuff, like elevated railway victorian stations (the one with the road underpass).

    2. The game has to load more stuff, however if you've a good CPU there's no trouble.

    3. 2 or more things being totally incompatible between themselves (not sure on this).

However, said this, nobody can live without BATs and MODs. The chance of a game crash slightly increases, unless there's a conflict between 2 or more plugins like in point 3 or a misplacement like in point 1.

If you test and read all the readmes that come with a mod and a lotfile, then you shouldn't have any problems. In most case we are informed of an incompability between mods in the readmes. If not, always keep your freshly downloaded files in a "testing" folder in the Plugins section until they are proofed to work.

Generally speaking the answer depends on the players maintenance habits. I test each plugin as I get it, and if a recent plugin later causes a crash, I start working backwards through by suite depending on the last modify (creation) date. Usually this only needs to back up one or two mods. Yesterday I left the game running while I was out for two hours and it was fine when I got home. The effect was a rather large balance in the treasury.

The problems with the NAM have to do with TE lots and puzzle pieces, but I haven't had any of that type of crash since V30 came out. Just do saves often, and you won't be too troubled if you do get a crash. My latest crashes have involved trying to build bridges over difficult terrain situations where the shore lines were rather iffy.
