Stupid fire trucks!

People... listen to what happened to me just one minute ago: I had a fire in one of my electricity power plants. Then i sent in one of my fire trucks. However the called fire truck was not the one that has the shortest route to run, but the one which is geographically closer. Now, the closest station is a small fire station right on the other side of the mountains, meanwhile there's another that has a shortest route despite being further because it has no mountains to bypass. Is there any way to fix this? I wanted to share this because i think no one ever noticed this and could be interesting.

I'm in no way experienced enough to jump in here,...but I'm gonna throw something in there anyway.. if you click directly on the "balloon" with the number on it, you can move which ever truck you want to.

I hate this feature, I really hope SC13 doesn't have it.

The solution Violator31 offered is the only one I know of. If you wanted, you could also quickly plop a fire station beside the fire, send out the fire trucks, and then just delete it after.

Sadly the game just sees number of tiles between fire and fire station.

You could sent both firetrucks. Whenever I have a fire, I usually send all my firetrucks immediately so I don't have to worry about this kind of things.

If you want to see something comical, cut the funding to your fire stations by about fifty percent, then cause a fire.
