Population in my largest city has grown into 250 000 sims, and lately i've been having a problem with my commute times: Looks like sims have gone blind, they simply refuse to see the avenue in their front yard. I got the NAM and i know it's not bc of the caps. Is there any way to help this? it gets really annoying when 10 000 sim suburbs turn into slums.

Are you sure it isn't the demand, or the zone palatability? Are you sure you've enough jobs? However the road layout isn't the best for sims (althought it is realistic), sims get lost a bit easier compared reality. Often in "My sim" mode guys complain abour my EXCELLENT road layout, damn i should fire them, in the real meaning of the term.

i'm positive it's not the demand. Seems that the sims are simply too stupid to live there since the whole area is located next to a ringroad and i added a railway ring aswell that serves all the industrial areas around the region.

On another note, i just noticed that 5000+ sims can work on on single farm.

Do you have (parhaps eh man) the SPAM installed? I've that problem too. I am thinking of downloading (or request) some farm jobs downsizer, i think something like 5 times less jobs would be fair. Who's with me?

I haven't had that problem with the SPAM. Check with the route query tool to see who's really working there.

OP, it is not completely clear where your Sims are supposed to go to work? All I see in your screenshot is the Avenue and an RHW with a cloverleaf. Where are the jobs?

I remember that after installing the SPAM my agricolture jobs multiplied approximatively by 10. Where there were 8 farmers now there are 80, which is absurd considered that agricolture is mechanized.

It isn't uncommon to see farms with quite a few workers, or as they are called on farms, farmhands. For farms that are thousands of acres, 80 workers is not uncommon. For the size of the farms in Simcity though, 80 is certainly not realistic.

Yeah i meant that. I believe in SC4 farm jobs do not depend by size, however i don't know about the SPAM. If yes, then it's a very cool feature of the SPAM, but i am still certain that jobs go decreased of at least 5 times.

Well, there's industrial park( ID & IM ) just down the avenue.

Problem solved itself, i just had to fast-forward 2 years :D.

Really annoying though, limits my cities under 500 000 bc the simulation slows down so much.
