Getting Boxes instead of buildings...

I have used some of the mods and now my buildings are turning into boxes. I dont know how to fix that.. can any one help me?

A few things to check...

1. Be sure you are running SimCity 4 Deluxe or Rush Hour that has been updated with the official patches (see here). Most items on the STEX and other exchanges require the new versions.
   
2. Be sure you have downloaded and installed any "dependencies". These are other items that are required for proper appearance or function. Check any instructions in the listing or a Readme file that may accompany the download.
   
3. Be sure you have the two bldgprop files in your plugins (see the above link). These two files are sometimes needed by items made with Maxis material.
   

Also, you might let us know which item is giving you trouble for more detailed assistance. There could be something wrong with the file(s) in the download.

I have the delux version. I love building cities, been doing this since it first came out on saga, I believe it was. We started building in the 1950s and moved

up to modern times... think this was back in the early 90s. I would leave the game on all night and wake up to millions of dollars would keep sending

space ports/stations into the wild starry yonder. Thank you for your help this is fantastic.. lovin this!

I think I will uninstall the game first, reinstall then follow the directions and install the updates and go from there.. I thank you soooo very deeply
