    I have stuff like the CAM and the BSC mods installed, so I've been having fun building up my cities, but now they seem to have halted their growth completely. I was building on a primarily high tech and commercial office $$$ basis, but the demand for high tech seems to have suddenly dried up in my cities and the CO$$$ has stopped in one of them.

    They're connected like this

    Harbou-----------------------------------Harvest

    R 400,000 -------------------------------(farming area just begun)

    C 250,000 ---- Connection ---- I Agri 10-20 thou

    I 350,000 (mostly hi tech and some manu)

    }----------------------------------------------}

    Connection----------------------------------Connection

    ----}----------------------------------------------}---------

    Isiro ----------------------------------------- Kadenai

    R 500,000-----------------------------------No Resi

    C 300,000 ------------ Connection -------C 100,000

    I 100,000 (all hi tech)----------------------I 100 - 200,000 (mostly dirty some manu)

    Anyway, Harbou is the one I'm trying to expand all the way across the available area (on a large grid) but all desirability is stopped for R$ R$$ CO$$ CO$$$ I-M and I-HT. It isn't my caps that are the problem since they're all incredibly high, I would guess it's just some structural problem in the city that I'm not seeing. Life expectancy is at 100, education is at 200, average wage was at like 35,000 until it dropped because of low employment. But more High tech or high grade commerical refuses to grow, and any new residental $$$ i zone just gets abandoned due to lack of jobs. Oh, and there are plenty of empty industrial zones in Harbou with bright green I-HT desirability, so that's not it.

    Em, anyone know what I'm missing?

    Ok, first of all, it would be of great help if you could post some pics so that we can understand better.

    Second, and also important, you mention that it is not because of the caps since those are extremely high, have you tried moving your city a tile away from or to another region to see what happens?

    Third, make sure that there isnt an incopatibility between the mods you have and CAM, I know that there is something with CAM and the growth on cities so you should check that and make sure. Also, I would recommend checking the CAM thread in order to make sure what I mentioned above about CAM.

    Make sure that you have CAM datpacked into SimCity_1.dat. It doesn't function properly unless you do so. If you've recently done so, you'll find that demand may have plummeted in one or more cities (since I datpacked the CAM, my central city is unable to gain any medium or high wealth residents).

    You might need to start other neighbouring tiles and have connections to the City first then go back to the main city and see what happens. You need lots of R$, C$, I$ to get fewer R$$, C$$ and I$$ then even fewer R$$$, C$$$, and I$$$.
