Well, I heard the news a couple of months ago that there will be a new game called "Simcity 5" in 2013

So, I decided to post these tips in this thread to purchase the game legally and enjoy the game.

Well for me, I got a tip for those who are willing to wait for the upcoming game. :D

1.) First, let's earn and save money.

- For me, before the school year starts on june, I decided to save my school allowance and put it on my piggy bank.

As a high school student, earning and saving money not only makes you to purchase a game successfully and legally but to support your family as well. So let's earn and save money cause we still have lots of time before the upcoming release.

2.) Plan on how you purchase

- It's up to you if you want to purchase digital download or a boxed pack on store. I decided to purchase a boxed pack in a video game store here in my country but it is very costly to me ( around 1500 Pesos but I still got so many time to save money :D )

Well, these are my first two tips for me and also for you so do your part in saving money and not letting your parents to buy a game for you if they don't have enough money. :D

I now websites on internet (ex:cdkeyhouse..) who sells a russian version of game like 50% cheaper (i bought Battlefield 3 for 20 dollars (it costs 50 dollars normally)) , and you just have to install an english language pack after.

And it is 100% legal.

Well I bought BF3 LE for roughly 35 USD (with a free t-shirt I don't wear =P). More than 20 USD but I got it from a game store, but hey, free shirt =/?

Oh and I believe premium games are usually 60 USD now.

If I purchase this game it will be a digital copy. I live in the boonies, and it is hard for me to get to a gaming store. My machine is big enough to run it, so other than the game, I need nothing else. I have a broadband connection.

I don't have to save any money to buy this game. I'll just hook a bit from my savings account.

No saving up for me either, however, I will most likely purchase a physical copy. Depending on the size of the download, it would probably take me a day to download the game.

Something to remember about digital downloads: Most are compressed in a common format, often .zip which is not the best but everyone can handle it. Next, a game like this doesn't need much text (program code). It mostly creates its tables during initialisation, or on a first-time basis. The actual download should be small enough to fit on a CD or at the worst a DVD which need not be very full.

The advantage to picking up a hard copy of the game may be the extra stuff that can be added to a DVD (I really don't expect them to issue this on CD). All these optional extras could very well be separate downloads but easily included on the DVD. For example: The native mode version for MAC could easily accompany the Windows version. The installer would select. This means a considerable saving in the production facility.

Prepare for a PC upgrade.

I prefer better than the recommended specs.

At the rate things are going, SimCity will NOT be purchased by me. If I can get play single player Origin-free legally, then I'll talk.
