Very bright night lights

This is my first post. I haven't had any problems until now. I have Rush Hour and I'm fully patched as far as I know. I have version 1.1.638.0. When in night mode I am getting very bright night lights for some reason. Plus buildings that are suppose to have color show no color just really bright white lights. I have no light mod installed at all. Does anyone know why this would be happening? Thank you to anyone that may be able to help.

Well, for openers, you could try the patch for night lights found at SC4Devotion. Go to the EA support (bottom left), accept the agreement, and open the Building Architect Tool page. You will find a patch there. You need only the patch, not the BAT.

Well the patch fixed the color on buildings not showing and added other building lights that were missing but it did not fix the extremely bright light issue that stayed the same.

I see exactly what the problem is: It's the LRM that's causing the problems with the bright lights. I heard multiple reports of that and unfortunatly, it's something I can't fix without sacrificing the functionality of the mod. The lamp posts on the lot are placed too close to each other, causing it to glow very bright. With the standard maxis lights, this isn't a problem, but that's since their light beam is way too small, so you wouldn't notice this...

It's up to the lotter (or to you), to fix this problem.

    Best,

    Maarten

Thanks Maarten That was the problem. Took out the LRM and the problem disappeared. I really didn't know the LRM was a lighting mod when looking through my plug-ins folder. I thought it was something to do with a mass transit mod of some sort. Thanks to both you and a nonny moose for helping me out.
