I don't understand CAM

just look at this:

it is the 3th time i test this mod and it always happen the same thing...

there are so many commercial and industrials (NOBODY WORK in industrial but they grow 0o )

But no residentials ...

The residential demands are HIGH (as well as commercial and industry) but they don't grow, it is blocked at 29 000 as you see.

the education is all in green, with university etc ..

CAM 1.0 has a bug that doubles the workforce, causing the oddities you're noticing. It is fixable, and the instructions below assume you have a degree of technical knowledge.

1: Install DatPacker 2008.

2: Go to your SimCity 4's program folder and copy SimCity_1.dat to a folder within your main plugins folder (Not the one in SC4's program folder). Put another copy of SimCity_1.dat into the Apps sub-folder of SC4's program folder (Back up).

3: Copy ColossusAddonMod_1.0.dat to the same folder as the first SimCity_1.dat copy you made.

4: Rename ColossusAddonMod_1.0.dat to zColossusAddonMod_1.0.dat.

5: Start up DatPacker, select the folder in which resides SimCity_1.dat and zColossusAddonMod_1.0.dat, uncheck all options, and datpack.

6: You'll now have a new folder, Plugins_Compressed, show up in your plugins folder. It contains the merged SimCity_1.dat. Change its name to SimCity_1.dat if it's been changed.

7: Copy the merged SimCity_1.dat to SC4's program folder, overwriting the original SimCity_1.dat.

8: Delete/remove the Plugins_Compressed folder, the folder containing the copied SimCity_1.dat and zColossusAddonMod_1.0.dat, and the original ColossusAddonMod_1.0.dat. Not getting rid of these files from your Plugins folder will cause all sorts of happy fun times.

    thanks!, it seems to work, but the bug is always present on the regions which i played with the buggy cam :/

    and i forgetten to delete the .dat files in plugin folder and as you say, it was very funny, everything in game duplicated :D (never seen to much of buildings growing in simcity 4)

    Everybody who downloaded CAM 1.0 have this bug ? 0o

    If yes, why so few people are talking about ?

    If no, why me and no others ?

    It is the first time i heard about this bug...

    The Colossus Addon Mod is a BSC exclusive. Players on Simtropolis will pretty much never encounter it unless they also go to SC4devotion. Further, it takes quite a bit to get started on CAM in a proper sense due to the buttload of downloading needed to get buildings and props. Really, CAM is a niche product for those who want to take their game to the max.

    It's RippleJet's dream given tangible form...

    The doubled workforce bug exists innately in CAM 1.0, and isn't limited to a few unlucky folks. ANY mod that changes the RCI exemplars has a doubled x bug.

    Make sure of what you are trying to compress. The only files recognized have the following extensions:

    .SC4LOT

    .SC4DESC

    .SC4MODEL

    .DAT

    What happens if we don't uncheck all options? I'm fixing this and the I-HT bug at the same time, but the I-HT bug tutorial doesn't say anything about unchecking options.
