I'm having trouble trying to show a You-Tube clip on TV. I've burnt it to CD but the home Video player will not play it. Any Ideas? please.

I can play it OK from the CD on the Laptop.

If it's a YouTube clip then we're probably talking about a .flv file, right? You'll need to check which type of files your home video player can display, then convert the .flv. Just google convert flv to *filetype you want*.

Alternatively, if your laptop has a tv-out you could just hook it up to your tv.

That assumes that his TV and his laptop have HDMI connections. Neither of mine do.

Using a "video out" connection is the easiest way to show something from a laptop on a TV. If there are no compatible ports, then file conversion and DVD burning are the next easiest option. Past that, it's hit or miss.

Thanks Guys, my Laptop doesn't have any HDMI/Video Out connections, and the Video on which I want to show the clip is not mine, so I don't know about that but it's old so I doubt it.
