Radius doubler vs radius doubler cost x4

I prefer to keep SC realistic and opted for the radius doubler of public buildings at a 4 times pro-rata increase in cost associated with them.

As I wanted to implement them in an existing city, I decreased the ambulences/schoolbusses funds by a fourth so that the radius will be the same as before to start with.

From there on I would demolish superfluous schools and increase the busses funding again at the same time. For the hospitals however, I still need the capacity of each single one so I decided to leave the ambulance funding at a fourth.

Now, my problem is that few moments after I adapted these funds, they both go up to the maximum again, repeatingly!

Very annoying as you can imagine that these costs x4 are very considerable. Does anyone have an idea why this happens?

Using the original radius doubler, I don't have any problem at all, but I don't want to use this one.

According to the MOD's creater the only thing that he changed over the original radius doubler was the increase in costs for these buildings, so I have no clue.

Furthermore, when I cut police and fire stations funds by 4, so to have the original costs, it's range is much lower than standard.

    Any solutions???

Additional question: Is there a MOD out there that can automatically increase/reduce patient/student capacity according demand of hospitals and schools?

    Thx!!!

Remove the plugin and test without it. If the problem goes away, you know what's wrong.

It's the plugin itself obviously. There is where the problem lies. Like stated above, I have no problem with the original radius doubler. But I read the comments about this cost x4 plugin and they were all positive. That's why I'm scratching in my hair...

This sort of sounds like the {Phantom Slider Bug}. The bug occurs if you change the properties a civic building (such as by increasing the maximum radii) while the building is still existing in the city. You need to demolish all the civic buildings affected before changing any properties.

Did you install the original radius doubler before you began building your city? If so, this would explain why you didn't have any problems earlier.

A possible fix would be to put back in the original radius doubler, demolish all the civic buildings it affects, save the city, and then put in the new radius doubler. You should back up your cities before doing so.
