    Hello,

I ve datpacked my plugins folder and now time to open a city is reduced; But when i want to install something new, Cleanitol doesn t operate correctly now.

The question is: Is it possible to make Cleanitol check another folder than THE " My documents/SimCity4/Plugins". This way i could properly install my new files in the "Plugins Disabled" folder, check it with Cleanitol and then re datpack.

    Thx for answers

In a word, simply swap the disabled folder for your plugins folder, run cleanitol, put your updates in, and run datpacker having backed up your new Plugins folder again to "plugins.bak" or whatever you call it.

I guess I don't have enough plugins to care, because I don't find this worth the trouble. My Plugins occupy only 455.3 MB on disk and I am sure it loads pretty quickly. I don't have any unacceptable load times for cities considering the amount of work the program has to do.

Much more important for windows users is to run disk cleanup and disk defragmenter at least once a week. City files get very fragmented. You probably get at least one new extent every time you save. Having the city in one piece on the disk will save some serious seek/find/read time.

    Hello ,

ok, very clear answer. I suppose i have to follow same method if i want to use SSP tools.

Is it normal that big bears wander all over my city, even on highways ? lol.

Have a good day and thx again.

All in a day's work. The wild-life comes with the trees when you lay them out in god mode. They slowly disappear as their habitats reduce. I think it is a gentle environmental statement of the facts.
