Hey mappers and modders. I'm looking for a detailed and buildable (closest to 1:1 scale as possible) model of the San Francisco Bay Area. I am considering drunkapple's San Fransisco as from the looks of it is both very accurate and has plenty of extra space for development. My trouble is that I can't get the mapper to work properly (got it to start up in Win7, now it crashes when I import the .SC4M) and have no way of figuring out if this is exactly what I need.

Basically what I need is a region that

1: Is accurate to the scale of the Bay Area

2: Is the right size relative to city level (ergo Treasure Island not capable of holding 500 blocks of apartments, my goal is to have a 1:1 street layout or the best I can)

3: Features as north as Richmond and as south as Palo Alto (I want to be able to include all 5 spans in the area)

4: Accurate height (I'm a stickler for coastlines, I need them to be the perfect height for docks/beaches in the appropriate locations)

There are so many great greyscales on the STEX, but for whatever reason every time I tried them out they would be messed up in some way (my own error or software issues). So this goes out to anyone who is thirsty for a new (and specific) project or anyone who has a region that is at least 75% of what I'm looking for that I wouldn't have seen on the STEX. If anyone can deliver this for me I will be sure to do the best I can to develop the region faithfully and report all my progress in a CJ, giving the mapper full credit!

Here is an image I've made

Note that I'm using drunkapple's map and that the city sizes aren't supposed to be exact, but rather just a guideline for what I'd like to work with.

The problem you are experiencing with the Mapper is not related to Windows 7, rather, you probably don't have enough RAM to render that big of a map (drunkapple's San Francisco map is HUGE). A while ago, I sent him a PM and asked him if he could cut the size down a bit. As a result, most of the outlying areas such as Livermore were removed. However, as far as north-south goes, it includes the areas you're looking for. I will send you a PM with more details shortly.
