Raise Demand Cap

I'm a newbie and discovered this site told by my friend who is also Playing SC4. . and I would like to have Sky scrappers..and someone told me that the Demand cap should be 3000? or something like that much...how could I raise my demand cap? could somebody help me please....

Do it the old fashioned way to build more towns in the region and connect them well or download one of the douzens of mods that raise your demand in the STEX.

Or just play the game, be a good god and scatter amenities around. Don't pay any attention to demand caps unless you have demand but no growth, and then figure out what's missing. If you get capped on some commercial things, try plazas or an airport. And so on. You'd be surprised to find that some caps are simply because you don't have enough Sims.

There is indeed a demand cap for highrise. I don't remember the exact number but i think it's higher than 3000. So you should increase your population first. If people don't want to come to your town you should build parks and stuff.

What i do remeber is that a large plaza increases demand with 9000...

Other parks and stuff have different demand cap reliefs...

Demand caps will limit your growth, but for every neighbor connection you make and every park, plaza, and reward you put down lifts it (for instance, the tennis court increases your demand cap by 4000 for residential). The only demand cap if I recall that is difficult to increase is high-tech industry, but that is only once you reach extremely large populations of it.
