Where to find/acquire Simcity 4 Deluxe

I was wondering if anyone knows where to purchase the Simcity Deluxe game. I went to the EA website and the only way is to purchase it and play it through origin. Which is not something I want to go through as I would feel like actually did purchase the game. So where would someone get the game without having to get only a digital copy?

Check your local GameStop or other gaming store for the game. If that fails, try Amazon.com.

It's too bad you don't want a digital copy.. I recently cracked my number 2 disc accidentally (I was hoping that i could still play it even though it had a crack in it. but when I put in my dvd player, it literally blew up. There were pieces of cd all over the place... thank God my dvd player didn't get damaged) but anyhow I just bought it at Amazon.com for $5.00 no tax and it only took, maybe an hour to download....

If you can get a clean digital copy with no interference like you get with steam and orlgin who want to track your usage, nothing stops you from writing it on an ISO disk if you want to have a backup copy. Should fit on a DVD with no problem.

So I have looked around and can not find the SimCity 4 deluxe at any pc gaming store. If you get the game off origin or steam can you still use the custom content, if not then Amazon and or eBay is looking like it’s the best chance to get the game.

Yeah, you should be able to just buy a physical copy of it from Amazon. That's what I did when I purchased the Mac version of the game. If they've got the Mac version, I highly doubt they wouldn't have the PC version.

Welcome aboard.

Slow and steady wins this race. Take your time, and run in a lower gear until you get the hang of it. Cheetah mode is really for quick results with specific short-term goals.

Don't be in a rush to get somewhere, neither the fan sites nor the game is going anywhere soon. If your game has a version number different from 1,1,640 or 1,1,641 you are missing some bug fixes and need to patch it. Open a new topic to discuss this, or look around. It has been thrashed out many, many times. To find your version number locate the file SimCity 4.exe using windows explorer in your Program Files suite, and hover your mouse over it. W7 will tell you the version.

Take a look at the pinned threads in this list and you'll find out a lot of stuff.

This game is addictive. If you are like me you'll be playing it when you are old and gray.

If you're in the US, you can buy the SimCity Box at Best Buy, Walmart, Fry's, etc. It's basically SimCity 4 Deluxe with Societies and another game thrown in for free. That's what I bought when my game disks deteriorated too much to be playable. Then you make ISO images of the disks and keep them as backup, as well as for playing the game without the disk.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I've actually not even installed it yet, i'm in the process of building a new system in the next couple of weeks. But I have been researching this forum for a few months in preparation
