Help with *T* road on slope puzzle piece

So Im experimenting with creating overpasses, anyway, here's my issues. I use a digger mod to create a raised slope 14m on either side of what I want to be my overpass. On one side, the *T* road on slope piece works fine.. on the other, it either refuses to place in the square i want it, or gives me an error message "unsuitable grade for construction". Ive tried to do this multiple times in multiple blank cities with entirely flat terrain, so I dont know why this would happen if both sides are exactly the same. I also tried rotating the piece etc and nothing works.

Edit: Actually I only get the error message "unsuitable grade" when I leave the hole digger piece in place. After dozing the hole digger piece, the *T* puzzle piece refuses to place in the correct square: when held on the correct square the graphic appears on the square next to it, even after being rotated. It just will not place in the correct square.

Second Edit: Interestingly, I can place these pieces correctly when rotating the direction of the overpass setup 90 degrees. I.e instead of

Err fixed, I wasn't using RHW pieces and I had a bad slope mod

So, maybe you could save the mods some clean up work and delete this topic? It's just taking up space now...
