Interesting but if you download the Landscape Designer by Greyveil from the STEX, it includes such a package based on real names in the U.S. I far prefer Ball's Falls to scquicx.

@ A Nonny Moose: I use that all the time.

It is great for getting realistic/real names. It is also good for making configs. I used the link above and it gave me Eleven Wall Cleavers and Cracked teeth. :???: It's a little strange.

You should try the Landscape Designer. :)

Sorry, I didn't put in the link. This little program has been around for ages, generates random maps using parameters you set and that you can then continue terraforming after rendering them in-game. It will also read in gray-scale files and fix them up, show them in false color, and generate the config.bmp for them. If you are doing our own gray-scale maps, it is a quintessential tool.

I have great fun terraforming rivers (canals?) and modifying things before I play a new region. Generating the map is very quick, and the game renderer with my new computer is not unreasonable. With this one piece of external software, written as a windows executable, you can do all kinds of things. It is very powerful.
