How to ? I haven't got a clue as to how I am supposed to find it. I have the latest NAM version (I think) and I thought I downloaded the right BHT MOD, but it doesn't work. Please help me haha.

Thanks in advance.

I just downloaded the first one.. And it worked.. Partly. Only the off- and on-ramps are black now, not my elevated highways nor my ground level highways.. Any ways to fix this without having to re-establish my HW network through my entire region ?

Hmmm... That is exactly the problem reported in the comments section on the other one...

Gonna need some technical info on your game:

    • Do you have Rush Hour/De-Luxe version?
    • Are you fully updated with the official patches?
    • Do you have bldgprop_vol1 og bldgprop_vol2?
    • What are your in-game graphics settings?

    - I have the De-Luxe version.

    - As far as I'm concerned, yes. I've downloaded the EP 1 update. Anything else ?

    - I do not.. What exactly is that ?

    - Everything is set to high, 32-bit, 1024x786, all the assets (Clouds/fog) are enabled and my renderer is set to 'software'.

Is that okay ? I do not know what's wrong.

The two bldgprop files should be placed into the Plugins folder. However, these probably won't have any effect on the highway textures. Of the two texture downloads mentioned above, you're better off using the Highway Restyling Mod since it is more current. Thorvin's file is older and may not include all aspects of the material included in NAM. As an addition check, you might make sure that the asphalt mods are loading last by placing them in your Plugins in a folder that starts with "z". This will ensure that they will over-write any other textures.

Thanks for the reply, I was already having my hopes up high when I saw your link. Clicked it.. 'File has been reported as broken, it doesn't change the textures at all.' . =(.

Any other suggestions ? Or maybe an alternative download link of the MOD mentioned above ? Thanks in advance.

Bad report. It does work when you read the instructions right. If you look down, there's still a download button.

Ugh.. I just deleted it out of my Plugins folder, it's just getting extremely annoying at this point. I've downloaded that MOD, and still my HW's and EH's won't show in in black. Only my Ramps.

That is exactly the symptom of an incorrect loading order. I tried both Thorvin's mod and mrtnrln's HSR mod and both will do that if the mods are loaded before NAM. In your Plugins you should have the Network Addon Mod folder with the NAM. Since the game loads pluigin folders in alphabetical order, you need to name the asphalt mod's folder (whichever one you use) something like ZZZ-Asphalt Mod. The "ZZZ" will make it load into the game after NAM, which is a requirement. That's why both mod downloads have folders that start with "Z" at the beginning of the name.

As a further note, Thorvin's mod doesn't cover the last three custom unterchanges that were added to NAM. They will appear "patchy" when placed. You might want to go with mrtnrln's HRS (not HSR - sorry) mod to have everything covered.

I know I might not seem the brightest of minds due to my failure of finding the download button before, but I did read those instructions haha. I had some random MOD's that had no Subfolder either, made a subfolder for them to make sure NOTHING downloads after the Asphalt MOD, especially not NAM. I've named the Asphalt MOD 'zzzzzzzzz' but still I can't comprehend as to why my computer can't seem to be reading it. I can understand the last four custom intersections aren't completely covered, but not even a normal cloverleaf ? Let alone my GLHW's and EHW's. It's kind of saddening really, I might be missing something vital. Where do I have to place those two blgdprop files ? What else is probably needed, dependies something ? I wouldn't mind if nobody knew, that would rather ease my mind, because right now I think it's my PC.

Thanks for the help so far guys, I know I'm a pain in the A haha.

Btw, HSR ? High Speed Rail ? If I have misinformed you, my bad, but I'm in need of Black Highway Textures for my HW's, not anything regarding a HSR. If I misinterpret 'HSR' I'm sorry.. But when I search on the STEX for HSR all I get is that.

Disregard my previous posts please, I got it to work, yay ! The solution was simple: I have two Plugins folders, one in my Simcity Map under Program Files, and another, seperate, one in another Simcity Map under My Documents. I had to place the BHT MOD in the latter, along with the BSC and others. I guess I can put buildings and stuff in the PF Map, but have to put MOD's that alter existing Maxis files in the MD Map.

Leaves me with one question, just one, though: My bridges are still grey.. How to alter that ?

Just wanted to thank you guys for all the help so far !!

Yes, that's the way the game works. The My Documents folder loads after the Program Files folder, so anything in the the latter of the two could be over-written by items in the former. That's why it's usually a good idea to use only one of the plugins folder.

Good grief... *Slaps self* ...That was totally my fault...

The Highway Restyling Mod is sometimes referred to as HRS, and I stupidly typed HSR which does, in fact, refer to the High Speed Rail. Sorry for the confusion.

...Where do I have to place those two blgdprop files?

As for the two bldgprop files, they can be placed in the My Documents plugins folder.

That would require some model changes of which both Thorvin and I haven't done yet (and probably will not happen in the near future).

Hmm oké, denk je er over na om het ooit nog te gaan doen ?
