Traffic and NAM

Ok, here's whats going on. I downloaded NAM 30 mainly for the Traffic Simulator which is supposed increase network capacity (right?). So I installed it with meduim selected, then I started a new city. And nope, no difference, no job zots and abandoned houses (mostly medium houses) everywhere. So after that I uninstalled and then reinstalled it choosing high, and no change. The only difference I'm seeing is I have people walking to work.

It sounds as if you have an incompatible simulator sitting in your Plugins that is preventing the NAM simulator from functioning. Ensure everything is cleaned out.

Additionally, when changing to a new traffic simulator, it can take the game a period of time to adjust to the new settings. This can range anywhere to 6 months to a couple years in-game time.

Yeah that might have been it, it seems to be working. But now I have another problem, my monorails are running at 300% over capacity.
