Monorail over water

Anyone know how to make the monorail go over water? Looking to have the monorail go from mainland to across bay to the other side. When you drag it over the water like making a bridge it works and then asks if you want to raise the height for ferries, which I do. But then on the mainland the monorail track is much lower than the track or bridge and it will not connect correctly. It also leaves a one tile pc of the lower track at the end of the higher bridge. Once you bulldoze this one tile pc of lower track to try and connect something to the bridge the entire bridge gets bulldozed with it. Leaving you back at square one, or tile one.

I have checked you tube and searched the threads but find nothing related to this issue. Thanks for your help.

Are you sure you're selecting the correct bridge? There is a bridge that is used with the High Monorail pieces included in the NAM. It sounds like you're selecting that one instead of one of the regular Monorail bridges. Here's an image showing the difference...

I just click on the monorail track and drag across the water from land to land. When finished there are two bridges to choose from. I just stayed with what the program had chosen and adjusted the bridge height to accommodate ferries. Are you saying to choose the other? I am wondering if the problem is that I adjusted the height of the bridge but I do need ferries to pass underneath.

With NAM installed and no additional bridges, dragging a Monorail should give you two choices. One says Monorail in the description, and the other High Monorail (30m). When dragging a standard bridge, you need to select the Monorail bridge option. The higher bridge is used when building a Monorail route using the High Monorail pieces.

And the high and low will connect. If you are too high at one end, try the high pieces.
