I created a city of around 20000 in SimCity 4 orinigal. I randomly decided to check my news ticker, when right at the bottom, my advisor said there are too much jobs and we need more residents so businesses don't close from lack of jobs. Ok then, I allowed 1000 residents move in, and now half of my high-tech and commercial are semi-abandoned and yet they are asking for more commercial jobs (on my RCI) and people were unemployed. Traffic is alright, commute is meh, and I no mods and mass transit (is that the problem?) Also my city of Rainpolis (45000 people; mostly condos and some odd townhouses) has just got a wave of abadonment, demand crashed and commute times shot up. How do I fix this?

I aplogize if this is a very simple problem to fix, because I just started playing.

Try replacing some of your commercial and industry with more residential, to allow more workers to move in. It would also be a good to download the NAM (network add on mod), as this will make sims take quicker routes to nearer workplaces and may reduce or even eliminate unemployment. You should find a link to download it on the simtropolis homepage. A public transport network would also be a good idea if the cities have bad congestion. If your low on cash, try a bus system, but rail, elevated rail and subway networks will work.

I would strongly recommend that you get the Deluxe version and add the NAM. Unless you get it from one of the download sites (such as Steam), you'll need to add the two patches available for it. These changes combined will give you a much better and much more interesting game.
