Better yet, just click the link <collection> in my signature.  That'll give you mine, anyways.  There are still several others to which I would suggest typing "Buffalo" or the name of the building.  Deadwoods has the Larkin and there are a few under the Barry Sanders Project as well.

I should probably revamp the first post and provide links.

Just to stay on top of things, I've done a little goofing around with the BAT for MAX, but not too much.  I've got the models over (actually did a long time ago), but I'm debating whether I want to update/fix/retexture them or just dive into something new (basically continuing the ongoing projects).  I've been slow, well, because I always am - no, it's just becoming a bad (busy) time of year.

I will agree though, performance-wise, 3dsMax blows gMax out of the water.  Too bad you still need it for SC4Model creation.  Hey, us Buffaloonians are used to not getting what we want.  4.gif

I'd like to make a request...yeah, a request on my own thread...

Would anybody who has used one of my BATs in a city of theirs' (or seen some good pictures in someone else's CJ) please provide links to any screenshots, etc.?

One of my fellow forumers over at an urban planning website is thinking of contributing a "Virtual Buffalo" article to a local internet "magazine" (BuffaloRising.com). If you would like your city to be featured, you will be given credit in the article.

    Thanks

    Chris

Hmm, I do have one city where a Liberty Building grew - T Wrecks once made a new lot, so it's a growable R-§§ building now (those were severely lacking in the old days). The following shot has a bad angle for showcasing it, but of course, I can take a better one, if you want.

sargeantcm:  Abso-bloody-lutely!  When do you need it by?

EDIT:  I have the perfect idea - how about a tight-in screenshot (day / night ) of HSBC Arena & its surroundings?  I can do the parking lot, the surrounding streets, and the NFTA MetroRail line.  Get back to me and let me know how it sounds!

Sargeantcm - I just wanted to say THANK YOU! I just recently purchased SC4 and pretty immediately started going about trying to faithfully replicate my hometown. I currently live in the Twin Cities, but grew up and fell in love with Buffalo's unique collection of architecture. I could not believe the realism of your BATs, especially City Hall, HSBC Arena and the Liberty Building. Your version of the Central Terminal is inspiring...I hope it gets back to that good of shape some day!

My dad is an architect in Buffalo and I sent him a few screen shots of my city with your buildings in it...he loved it.

I'm not sure if you're still working on any Buffalo BATs? If so, what do you have going?

Not sure how difficult it would be, but Ralph Wilson Stadium and Coca-Cola Field (Pilot Field) would be awesome. For Pilot Field, I was thinking this ball field

    https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=19814

might be a pretty easy place to start editing? It's got a similar two-deck grandstand that partially wraps around, big white light standards...The seats would need to be changed to red, but it's pretty close.

For other Buffalo buildings, how about...

    Darwin D Martin House

    Sheas

    Klienhans

a Chippewa Strip? I've seen a few "clusters" or blocks of buildings...the Chip Strip could be cool...starting with the Calumet building

the new Federal Courthouse (which isn't even finished yet in real life!)

    The Statler

Finally...just out of curiosity, did you have any graphic design background, or did you just teach yourself how to do BAT stuff on your own? I was thinking I might want to try it!

Yeah. . . his last reply in this thread was over a year ago. Don't think he is going to be taking any request. In the future, it would be wise to read the date of the last reply before posting, necromancy is generally looked down upon.
