Serial Number

Hi. I recently bought SC4 Deluxe after not playing it for a few years. I tried to install it on my Laptop (Windows 7) and everything was running smootly 'til I got to the first hurdle. I entered the serial number exactly right (I re-did it several times) but I kept getting the error message that the number didn't match with the number on the manual. Is there any way around this?

Are you sure that the serial matches the CD correctly? Strange.

Do you have SimCity 4 installed on another computer? You can probably obtain the CD's serial number via the registry editor then.

Hi mate. Yes, the number matches exactly. I've re-typed it several times but it's still saying it doesn't match

Check for things like using zero instead of O. Or five instead of S. Did you buy the game new? You might try returning it to the retailer.
