    Howdy Ho peoples!

As CXL2012 is approaching and we are certain we are getting modding tools, I think It's a good idea that all players that have ambitions of creating custom content in CXL2012 have a central place to go.

This place will provide an overview of which projects are going to be set up once CXL2012 launches and beyond.

Doing this will make emphasize that we can have a fast input of custom content of all different kinds of content asap after the game has been launched.

The idea is that people come here and post which kind of custom content they want to focus on first when the game launches.

Offcourse we all know we are not sure what is possible with the modding tools yet so I would suggest not to go after copying those real-life buildings just yet (allthough MC and FHI have been making some nice copies of buildings so far).

I will also provide a tutorial index in this thread so you can easilly look up a tutorial to guide you on any difficulties (after launch). People that want to provide tutorials can also post them here, I will then add them to the index.

You can also post a Request through the same way.

So just post a reply to this post with what your first project(s) will be so that people have an idea what they can be expecting.

Please include this in your post:

    - Name of your Project - example: Atomium

    - Place of Project - example: Brussels, Belgium

    - Modder(s) - example: by diScOpOlis

    - Type of Project - example: Decorations, Landmarks

    - Additional Type(s) and information - example: European Monument - Built in 1958 for the world's Exhibition symbolising the metal Iron in. The Atomium is 102,7 meters high and the balls have a diameter of 18 meters each.

    - Picture of Project - example:

This index is a work in progress, and will expand still...

Something I would like to see would be a discussion on a 'preferred package system' for mods. Most people are releasing raw .patch files, but this doesn't give us details or info about what the patch is or does, or help us remember who made it or anything else.

Pharmist has been using a .zip file that includes a 'Read Me.rtf' file, and it often includes the unpackaged data files. It would be great to see some sort of thought on a common package format for these things. It would also be fantastic to encourage participation in the Plaza XL. Raw .patch files get complex in a hurry... what was this thing I put in there? What does it do? Who made it? Where can I check on an update? What version is this one?

We really ought to have a better way to track all this.
