I posted this on SC4D whilst the site was down and didn't get any response really, so I thought It'd be best to repost here.

Unfortunately due to financial constraints , when looking for a new laptop, the only thing I could afford was a netbook (Acer Aspire One 532h-2DS). I never intender to play SC4 on it, but after coming on the site again, I decided I'd give it a go again.

I purchased this CD drive and installed it. Everything went smoothly and Installed fine.

I've been having problems when the game loads up. I get the start up screen and click play and the bridge image comes up, and then I get this error message telling my insert disk.

My netbook runs windows 7 starter. Here are the specs.

    Acer Aspire One 532h-2DS

Processor Intel Atom (N450, 1.66 GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 512 KB L2 cache)

    Operating System Windows 7 Starter

    RAM 1GB

    Hard Drive 160GB (SATA)

Graphics Integrated (Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 with 128MB

    Graphics)

I've seen threads about people with similar problems but no answers it seems?

    Thanks in advance people. :D

Do you have the CD drive connected to the computer when trying to start the game?

Well, one thing you could do is create a bootable image of Disc 2 that you can click on and load up as if it were a CD. It saves wear and tear on the actual CD, for starters. Or, you could just throw in $20 and get the Steam version.

~ COMING SOON! Exciting new projects! ~

I think I might just do that. Thanks :)

Btw, will I still be able to edit my plugins folder?

Yes. You might want to make sure that the path for it is something sensible or you will have to install anything with an installer by using the manual install version for MACs.
