Finally got my new Macbook Pro and immediately got Sim City 4 for it (I always wanted to play it but my iBook was not powerful enough). I seem to have a problem: Every-time I make an industry sone, most of the inner squares of the zone stay empty, event if I have enough access to roads, usually a tile is only 2 tiles away from a road. This happens even with a high demand for industries. For other zone types (residential and commercial) this doe snot happen: they fill up entirely. Any idea how I can fill the empty tiles?

Why don't you download Windows XP and install it on a partion via Bootcamp? That's what I've done and it works a fine :-)

If you want to know anything about running SC4 via Boot Camp/VMWare, see this article for more information. However, I prefer using the native SC4 Mac application, although I own the Windows version as well. However, if you wish to run Lion, I suggest you read here for more information.

Anyway, I have had the same issue before, I am assuming you use the streets laid out by the zoning tool? I think it is because of limited access to the roads, so there is nothing much you can do, unless you zone streets closer together. Let us know what develops (excuse the pun 2.gif).

What happens when you build a street to the middle of the tile?

Let's hope that won't be necessary. Could Thinksamuel buy Simcity 4 again. :boggle:

It should be fine, I don't think the issue is to do with running it on an Intel Mac. I run SimCity 4 Mac on a PowerPC machine (the one I am typing at!), and I have that issue as well sometimes... All I can suggest is making a smaller grid (lay out the streets/roads first, and fill in the gaps)...
